November 22, 2008 -- West Springfield, Massachusetts -- "Freyr" - Valhala's God of Sun and Rain - won  Best Puppy in Puppy Sweepstakes at the NEFCRC sponsored Supported Entry at the South Windsor  Kennel Club show under sweepstakes judge Ms. Deborah Edwards.

November 21, 2008 -- West Springfield, Massachusetts -- "Freyr" - Valhala's God of Sun and Rain - took Reserve Winner's Dog from the 12-18 month class  at the Windham Kennel Club show under judge Ms. Joy Brewster

October 19, 2008 -- West Springfield, Massachusetts -- "Freyr" - Valhala's God of Sun and Rain - owned by Kurt Anderson- took Winner's Dog from the 12-18 month class for 2 points  at the Troy Kennel Club show under judge Edeltraud Laurin.

October 18, 2008 -- West Springfield, Massachusetts -- "Freyr" - Valhala's God of Sun and Rain - owned by Kurt Anderson- took Reserve Winner's Dog from the 12-18 month class  at the Albany Kennel Club show under judge Sam Houston McDonald.

October 12, 2008 -- "Logan" - CH K'Mander Island Runner RN - owned by Margaret and Terry Uminsky won Best of Breed at the Ramapo Kennel Club show under judge Laura Dedering.

September 27, 2008 -- "Logan" - CH K'Mander Island Runner RN - owned by Margaret and Terry Uminsky won Best of Breed at the Westbury Kennel Association show under judge Jon Cole.

September 26, 2008 -- "Jackson" - CH K'Mander Just Before The Deluge - owned by Ellen and Eric Kamp and Kurt Anderson won Best of Breed at the Suffolk County Kennel Club show under judge Marilyn Spacht

Canadian Specialty Placements -- September 25-27, 2008 - "Freyr" - Valhala's God of Sun and Rain - owned by Kurt Anderson earned a 1st, a 2nd and a 3rd place in his 12-18 month class at the Burlington Kennel and Obedience Club shows in Milton, Ontario.  In the Specialty show, "Freyr" placed 2nd in the 12-18 month class under English breeder judge Pam Stanley.

May 4, 2008 -- West Windsor Twnsp, NJ -- "Freyr" - Valhala's God of Sun and Rain - owned by Kurt Anderson- won Best of Opposite Sex Puppy from the 9-12 month puppy sweepstakes class at the Mid-Atlantic Flat-Coated Retriever Club supported entry under judge Jane Boraczek.  Freyr went on to place 2nd in the 9-12 month puppy class in the regular classes under Australian judge John Burgess.

March 22, 2008 -- Edison, New Jersey -- "Logan" CH K'Mander Island Runner - owned by Margaret and Terry Uminsky won Best of Breed at the New Brunswick Kennel Club under judge Carol S. Brown

March 15 - 16, 2008 -- Fitchburg, Massachusetts  -- "Freyr" (Valhala's God of Sun and Rain) had a successful weekend at the New England Sporting Group Association shows.  On Saturday "Freyr" won his 6-9 month puppy dog sweepstakes class under judge Maureen Day.  Later in the afternoon "Freyr" placed 2nd out of 4 in the regular classes.   On Sunday, Freyr placed 2nd in his 6-9 month puppy dog sweepstakes class under Chessie breeder/judge Robyn Haskin and later won his 6-9 month regular class and went on to be awarded Reserve Winner's Dog from an entry of 12 dogs under judge Mrs. Marion Lyons.

March 15 - 16, 2008 -- Louisville, Kentucky -- "Buck" (K'Mander Rose Island Renegade) placed fourth on Saturday and third on Sunday from the Open Dog class at the Evansville and Louisville Kennel Club Shows.  (more details to come).
